[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원시 진해구 석동정수장 유충이 발견된 지 14일째인 20일 현재 진해 수돗물 수질상태는 적합 판정을 받았다고 시는 밝혔다.
시와 낙동강유역환경청은 유충 발견 이후 다양한 조치로 유충 개체수가 점차 감소를 이어가고 있는 가운데 60개 항목 법정수질 검사 결과 진해 수돗물 수질상태는 적합한 것으로 나타났다고 발표했다.
시는 유충을 퇴치코자 급속ㆍ활성탄 여과지 세척과 함께 불활성화율을 높이기 위해 오존투입을 늘리고, 침전기능 강화를 위해 적정 응집보조제를 투입하고 있다.
수질검사 결과, 예년과 같은 수질 수준으로 나왔다.
7월 11일 채수한 물에 대한 60개 항목 법정 수질검사서를 보면 수질기준을 초과한 사항은 없었으며, 종합판정도 적합으로 나타났다.
우려 중인 발암성물질 총트리할로메탄 수치도 0.038~0.048ppm으로 나와 전년도 0.057ppm와 비교해도 낮은 수치다.
시는 “낙동강유역환청 등과 기술공조 속에 다양한 사례검토, 전문가 자문을 통해 약품투입량을 조절하는 등 수질관리와 정수생산 정상화를 위해 세심히 조치하고 있다”며 “현재 비슷한 시기의 작년과 비교 했을때 같은 수준의 수질로 유지되고 있고, 유충 개체 수는 좀 더 지켜봐야겠지만 줄어들고 있다. 이미 공급된 관로 내 수돗물을 배출시키고 있어 관로 내 수돗물이 제거되면 곧 수돗물은 정상화될 것”이라고 말했다.
시는 일정간격을 두고 수질분석을 하고, 결과가 나오는 데로 계속 공개하기로 했다.
