[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도의회 문화복지위원회(위원장 김재웅)는 22일 합천 소재 경남문화예술진흥원과 거창 수승대에서 개최되는 제32회 거창국제연극제를 방문해 제12대 전반기 현지 의정활동을 시작했다.
이번 현지 활동은 경남의 문화산업 발전을 위한 문화예술 활동 지원과 지역문화예술 진흥 등에 대한 정책을 확인하기 위해 추진됐다.
문화복지위원회 위원들은 경남문화예술진흥원이 지난 2017년에 합천 청사로 이전한 후, 청사 접근성 문제로 도내 예술인의 불편사항이 증가하고 있다는 의견 등의 애로상황을 청취하고, 경남 문화예술 진흥과 콘텐츠 산업 활성화를 위한 진흥원 역할 강화 방안 등에 대해 논의했다.
또한, 코로나19 등의 영향으로 4여년 동안 연극제가 개최되지 못했던 상황에서 ‘또 다른 세상 꿈꾸는 열정’을 주제로 제32회 거창국제연극제가 거창 수승대에서 개최됨에 따라, 개막식에 참석해 연극인들이 다양한 창작활동에 전념할 수 있는 문화예술 환경 조성을 위한 방안 마련 등에도 깊은 관심을 가졌다.
김재웅 문화복지위원회 위원장은 “도민의 문화 향유권 확대를 위한 문화예술 정책들을 적극 발굴하고, 지원해 나갈수 있도록 노력하겠다”며,“앞으로도 현장 중심의 적극적인 의정활동을 펼쳐나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
