고양시는 지난 23일 고양문예회관에서 7월 2일부터 매주 토요일 진행된 ‘2022년 고양시 기후환경학교 기초과정’을 종강하고 75명의 수료생을 배출했다.
기후환경학교는 기후위기 대응을 선도하는 고양시가 시민이 함께하고 시민이 주도적으로 실천하는 환경 교육이다.
2021년에 이어 진행된 이번 교육은 기후위기의 원인, 영향, 공감, 그리고 작은 실천을 위한 변화의 중요성을 강조하는 내용으로 이루어져있다.

이날 과정을 마친 수료한 75명은 2021년 기초과정 수료자와 함께 8월 4일 개강될 기후환경학교 심화과정을 수강할 수 있다.
4강으로 구성된 심화과정은 ▲탄소중립을 실현하기 위한 건축도시 만들기 ▲폐기물 에너지화 ▲기후변화 북극만의 문제가 아니다 ▲기구위기와 탄소중립시대를 살아가는 법 등 최고의 전문가 강의로 진행된다.
시 관계자는 “주말인데도 많은 시민이 관심을 갖고 교육에 참여해주셨다. 고양시의 탄소중립 실현을 앞당기기 위해 앞으로도 다양한 환경 교육을 추진할 것”이라고 말했다.
