파주시(시장 김경일)는 안전한 도로환경 조성을 위해 6개월마다 시행하는 도로시설물 안전점검을 오는 10월까지 완료할 예정이라고 밝혔다.
도로시설물 점검 대상은 시설물통합정보관리시스템(FMS)에 등록된 도로시설물 총 108개소로, 교량 91개소·터널 및 지하차도 15개소·옹벽 2개소다.

점검은 민간 안전진단 전문업체에 위탁해 진행되며, 「시설물안전법」을 근거해 육안점검 등을 진행하며 더욱 세밀한 점검이 필요한 경우, 정밀안전점검을 통해 도로시설물에 대한 보수·보강 및 유지관리 방안이 수립된다.

시는 안전 점검 결과에 따라 미흡한 사항들은 안전사고 대비를 위한 보수공사 우선순위를 정한 뒤, 예산 확보 후 빠른 시일 내 공사할 수 있도록 추진할 전망이다.
