[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 경상남도는 27일 국회에서 국민의힘과 도정 현안을 공유하고 내년도 국비 확보를 위한 협력 및 서부경남에 항공우주산업 관련 기관을 집적화 해달라고 요청했다.
국민의힘은 지난 18일 호남권을 시작으로 전국 시·도를 대상으로 예산정책협의회를 이어 가고 있는 가운데 27일 국회에서 부울경 권역 예산정책협의회를 진행했다.
이날 협의회에는 국민의힘 권성동 당대표 직무대행 겸 원내대표를 비롯해 성일종 정책위의장, 송언석 원내부대표, 김성원 예결위 간사, 양금희 원내대변인 등 중앙당 지도부가 대거 참석했다.
지역에서는 정점식 경남도당위원장과 조경태 부산시당위원장, 권명호 울산시당위원장을 대신해 김기현 국회의원이 참석했다.
회의는 권성동 당대표 직무대행 겸 원내대표, 성일종 정책위의장, 박완수 도지사 등 참석자들의 인사말에 이어 도 기획조정실장의 도정현안 설명과 예산사업 건의, 2023년 국비확보를 위한 자유토론 순으로 진행됐다.
박 지사는 인사말에서 “7,80년대 대한민국의 고도성장을 이끌었던 경남의 현재 경제상황이 매우 좋지 않다”며 “항공우주청 경남 사천 설치와 항공우주산업 클러스터 조성, 민자도로 통행료 인하, 진해신항 조기착공과 항만배후단지 확대 지정, 남부내륙철도 조기 착공, SMR 중심 차세대 원전 기술개발 등 윤석열 정부의 경남 지역 정책과제에 포함된 사업들의 시행에 속도를 내어달라”고 주문했다.
특히, 항공우주청 경남 사천 설치와 관련해서는 과기부, 산업부, 국방부 등 많은 부처의 업무 조정이 필요한 사항으로 대통령실 또는 총리실 중심으로 적극적인 협의를 할 수 있도록 국민의힘 차원의 지원을 요청했고, 대한민국 항공우주산업 발전을 위해 항공우주 관련 기업이 밀집된 서부경남에 항공우주산업 관련 기관을 집적화해야 한다며 국책연구기관 등도 경남에 유치될 수 있도록 건의했다.

박 도지사는 “지금까지 경남의 주력 제조업이 국가경제를 이끌어왔지만 앞으로는 새로운 성장산업으로 고용창출 효과가 큰 관광산업을 일으키지 않으면 국가와 경남의 미래는 없다.”며 “남해안권 관광산업 활성화를 위해 관광단지 사업 토지 확보를 위한 규제 해제 및 선택과 집중을 통한 정책 추진이 원활하게 진행될 수 있도록 당 차원의 관심”을 건의했다.
또한 거가대로·마창대교의 민자도로 통행료에 대한 주민들의 부담을 줄여줄 수 있도록, 반드시 당과 정부 차원의 적극적인 협조가 필요하다고 강조했다. 또한 최근 5년간 경남의 국비 지원규모가 타 시도의 인구 규모에 대비하여 미흡한 부분을 강조하며, 경남 발전에 어려움이 가중되고 있어 특별한 지원과 관심을 부탁했다.
이어 비공개로 전환된 회의에서 경남도는 항공우주청 경남 사천 조속 설치 및 국책연구기관 등 유치, 진해신항 조기 착공 및 항만배후단지 확대지정, 남부내륙철도 조기개통, 방산 중소기업 클러스터 조성 및 수출 지원, 경전선 수서행 고속열차(SRT) 신설 및 KTX 운행 증편 등 9개 주요 현안사업에 대한 관심과 아낌없는 지원을 거듭 당부했다.
아울러 경남도는 내년도 국비예산 확보와 관련해 꼭 반영되어야 할 신규사업 및 증액사업 11건을 포함한 주요 국비사업 27건, 875억 원에 대한 지원과 협조도 구했다.
경남도에서 건의한 사업은 ▲ 민자도로(거가·마창대교) 정부주도 통행료 인하 용역(신규) ▲ 천연소재 전주기 표준화 지원허브 구축(신규) ▲ 굴껍데기 자원화 전처리 시설 지원(신규) ▲ 그린 스타트업 타운 조성(신규) ▲ 국립 수산양식 사료연구소 설치(신규) ▲ 그린바이오 벤처 캠퍼스 조성(신규) ▲ 백두대간 V-힐링 스타트업 로드 조성(신규) ▲ ICT융합 제조운영체제 개발 및 실증(계속) ▲ 창원 BRT(간선급행버스체계) 구축(계속) ▲ 경남권역 스마트 선박안전지원센터 건립(신규) ▲ 발굴유물 역사문화공간 조성(계속) 등 11건이다.
박 도지사는 국민의힘 지도부 의원들에게 “오늘 건의드리는 사업들은 국정과제에 포함되거나 서부경남 균형발전, 창업기반 조성, 농어업 경쟁력 강화 및 지역산업 재도약 등을 위해 꼭 필요한 사업”이라며 “정부예산에 꼭 반영되도록 국민의힘 당 차원과 정부의 적극적인 지원을 부탁드린다.”고 말했다.
한편 경남도는 지역경제의 빠른 회복을 위해 내년도 국비 확보에 행정력을 집중해 나간다는 방침 아래 기획재정부 예산심의와 국회 상임위 및 예결위 심사에 적극 대응하고, 여야 지역 국회의원들과 유기적인 네트워크를 구축해 국비 확보에 총력을 기울일 계획이다.
