세종시, 마을안전공동체 발족

세종시가 지속가능한 안전문화 조성을 위해 관내 안전 유관 단체와 마을안전공동체를 발족하고, 안전한 행복도시 세종을 위한 방안 모색에 나섰다.

세종시는 29일 시청 여민실에서 ‘마을안전공동체 발족식’과 ‘재난·재해로부터 안전한 행복도시 세종을 위한 세미나’를 연계 진행했다고 밝혔다.

행사에서는 관내 자율방범대, 자율방재단, 안전보안관 등 단체 3곳이 참석해 민·관 연계를 바탕으로 유기적 협력 체계를 마련하기 위한 마을안전공동체 발족식을 가졌다.

발족식에 참석한 안전유관단체 3곳 단체장은 실천 선언을 통해 안전위해요소를 개선하고 홍보, 교육, 캠페인 등 안전문화 확산 활동에 적극 동참하겠다고 다짐했다.

이어 대전세종연구원 도시안전연구센터 주관으로 열린 세미나에서는 재난안전 패러다임 변화에 따른 예방형 도시계획 수립, 재난 취약성 평가체계 마련, 재난안전 민간자율조직 활성화 등이 논의됐다.

최민호 세종시장은 “세종시의 지속가능한 안전을 위해서는 각계각층의 상호협력기반이 무엇보다도 중요하다”라며 “발족식을 계기로 세 단체가 힘을 합해 보다 나은 세종시민의 안전한 일상을 만드는 데 노력해달라”라고 말했다.
