[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 ‘죽전만당마을관리 사회적협동조합’이 국토교통부로부터 최종 설립 인가를 받았다고 1일 밝혔다.
죽전만당마을관리 사회적협동조합(이사장 이우원)은 도시재생사업의 지속성을 위해 주민 주도로 도시재생 지역을 유지·관리하도록 유도하는 비영리법인이다.
특히 거창군 도시재생 뉴딜사업 추진 중 최초로 주민조직의 주도로 설립됐다는 점에서 큰 의미가 있다.
협동조합에 참여한 조합원들은 지난해 7월부터 2022년 5월까지 약 11개월 동안 기초과정부터 설립 및 운영컨설팅을 받았고, 올해 3월 3일 창립총회를 통해 국토교통부 설립인가 신청 후 최종 설립 승인을 받았다.
앞으로 협동조합은 주민역량강화와 시범사업을 추진하고 도시재생 사업의 거점시설인 어울림센터, 다함께 돌봄센터, 공유주방, 마을호텔 등을 운영하여 주민들의 일자리와 수입을 창출하고 주민복지 증진에 기여하는 등 마을을 종합적으로 관리하게 된다.
이우원 이사장은 “주민의 마음을 모아 설립된 죽전만당마을관리 사회적협동조합이 거창군의 도시재생사업의 모델이 될 수 있도록 함께 발전시켜 나갈 것이며, 죽전마을 주민들의 삶의 질 향상에 기여할 수 있도록 하겠다”고 말했다.
