[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 거제시 최초의 야시장인 '거제몽돌야시장'이 5일 개장식을 갖고, 본격적인 운영에 들어갔다.

이날 개장식에는 서일준 국회의원, 박종우 거제시장, 거제시의회 윤부원 의장 및 시의원 등이 참석해 축하했다.

거제고현시장 남문 입구에서 진행되는 거제몽돌야시장은 지난 7월 신청을 받아 선정된 즉석식품 10개 매대를 비롯하여 플리마켓 20개 점포, 무대공연 등으로 구성되어 매주 금요일과 토요일, 다양한 먹거리와 즐길거리를 제공할 예정이다.

이번 거제몽돌야시장은 2021년부터 2개년으로 진행되는 중소벤처기업부 공모사업으로 선정된 문화관광형시장 육성사업의 일환으로 추진하는 사업 중 하나이며, 야시장 이외에도 카트 대여 서비스, 특산품 판매장 조성 및 운영, 각종 이벤트 진행 등을 통해 거제고현시장이 더욱 발전할 것으로 기대된다.

박종우 시장은 “거제시에서 개장하는 첫 야시장인만큼 많은 시민들이 참여 속에 성공적으로 운영되길 바란다”고 밝혔다.
