[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경상남도는 행정안전부에서 시행중인 섬 발전 사업의 2023년도 신규 사업 대상지로 섬지역 특성화사업 4개소(총 사업비 26억 원), 특수상황지역개발사업 11개소(총 사업비 68억 원)가 선정됐다고 8일 밝혔다.
특수상황지역개발사업은 중앙행정기관에 의한 행정지원 등 특수한 지원 조치가 필요한 지역으로 ‘섬발전촉진법’에 따른 개발대상 섬을 대상으로 추진하는 사업이다.
섬지역 특성화사업은 지속가능한 섬마을 조성을 위한 섬 주민 조직체를 구성하고 마을발전 계획을 수립하여 소득사업과 마을활성화 활동 추진 지원을 위한 사업으로 통영시 추도(5억원), 비진도(5억원), 거제시 지심도(5억원), 황덕도(11억2500만원)가 선정됐다.
특수상황지역개발 사업은 창원시 1개소(송도, 10억원), 통영시 6개소(좌도, 우도, 욕지도 입도 등, 29억원), 사천시 1개소(마도, 3억원), 거제시 3개소(지심도, 이수도, 가조도, 25억원)가 선정됐다.
그중 통영시에서 신청한 ‘드론을 활용한 섬마을 정주여건 개선사업’은 통영시 32개 유인도서를 대상으로 드론 물류 배송 시스템을 구축하고 2개 마을에 마을별 드론 공동 방제·방역 체계를 구축하는 사업이다.
