[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 의령군의 미래 50년 신성장 엔진 동력으로 기능할 ‘부림일반산업단지’ 조성에 순풍이 불고 있다.
11일 군에 따르면 국토교통부로부터 ‘부림일반산업단지 진입도로’ 개설 사업비가 112억 추가돼 조정 승인을 받았다.
이로써 의령군은 총사업비 226억 원을 확보하게 됐다.
부림일반산업단지 진입도로는 2024년 완공되는 함양~울산 간 고속도로의 1분 거리에 위치하는 의령나들목(IC)에서 부림산단으로 직접 진입하는 도로로 그 중요성이 부각됐다.
최초 국토교통부는 ‘부림산단 진입도로 개설’ 신규사업 선정 당시 사업비를 114억으로 책정했으나 실시설계 및 관계기관 간 협의를 거치는 과정에서 사업비가 대폭 상승하는 문제가 발생했다.
이에 국토교통부는 증액 사업비를 줄여야 하는 당면과제가 생겼고, 의령군은 사업비를 증액해야 하는 ‘상반된 입장’이 있었다.
사업비 협의 기간이 8개월이 넘어가던 지난 10일 국토교통부는 최종적으로 사업비 조정 승인을 내렸고, 의령군은 총사업비를 최종 226억 원 확보함으로써 입지적 장점을 100% 달성할 수 있게 됐다.
오태완 군수는 “중앙정부가 지방자치단체의 어려운 사정을 살펴본 결과로 크게 반길 일”이라며 “부림산단을 의령 동부권 개발의 전초기지, 경남 물류 유통산업의 꼭짓점, 대한민국 신성장 산업의 출발지로 만들겠다”는 의지를 보였다.
한편 의령군은 2023년 완공되는 부림일반산업단지의 경제적 파급효과는 1조4000여억 원의 생산 가치와 3451억 원의 부가가치 효과, 4,200여 명의 고용 유발효과가 있을 것으로 분석하고 있다.
