대전시는 민선8기 경제수석보좌관(전문임기제가급 2급 상당)에 정재필 전 대전일보 편집국 부장을 임명했다고 11일 밝혔다.
정재필 보좌관은 대전 대성고를 졸업하고, 고려대학교에서 영어영문학과 신문방송학을 전공했다. 1995년 대전일보에 입사해 2012년까지 기자로 활동을 했다.
이후 2020년까지 이장우 시장을 비롯한 국회의원 비서관 및 보좌관 업무를 수행한 역량 있는 인재로 알려져 있다. 최근까지 대전일보에 재 입사해 편집국 부장을 역임했다.
대전시는 정 보좌관이 민선8기 일류경제도시 육성을 위해 시민 각계각층과의 소통은 물론, 언론, 정당 및 국회 관련 협조 등 대외활동도 앞장설 것으로 기대하고 있다.
