[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시와 창원문화재단이 창원의 대학생들이 직접 만든 메타버스 문신미술관을 개관했다.
이번 메타버스 문신미술관은 2022년 탄생 100주년을 맞는 창원 출신의 조각가 문신(文信)을 기념하고 전국적으로 알리기 위해 지역의 대학생들이 힘을 모았다.
창원대학교 문화테크노학과 남상훈 교수의 지도로 문화테크노학과 학생들과 문화융합기술협동과정 대학원생들 10여명이 참여했다.
전 세계적으로 이용자수가 많은 대표적인 메타버스 플랫폼인 로블록스 공간에 문을 연 문신미술관은 문신의 대표 작품들과 미술관 내외부 공간들이 그대로 재현됐다.
구축된 메타버스 문신미술관의 방문객을 늘리기 위해 게임요소를 가미한 참여 이벤트도 함께 진행된다.
방문객들은 주어진 미션과 게임을 순서대로 진행한 후에 인증 샷을 찍어문신탄생100주년기념사업 공식 인스타그램 계정에 남기면 선착순과 추첨을 통해 오는 9월말까지 모바일상품권을 지급할 예정이다.
남상훈 교수와 참여 학생들은 “진해군항제, 마산 로봇랜드 등 사람들이 직접 찾아갈 수 있고 가상의 공간에서도 만날 수 있는 메타버스 공간을 창원시 전체로 넓혀 나갈 계획이다.”며 사업 확장의 의지를 나타내기도 했다.
