[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 국내 최초의 국악 유튜버로 활동하며 국악 한류열풍을 선도하고 있는 국악그룹 ‘퀸(Queen)’이 산청을 찾는다.
산청군은 오는 27일 오후 3시 단성면 남사예담촌 기산국악당 대밭극장에서 퀸의 ‘NEW WAVE’ 공연이 열린다고 밝혔다.
국악그룹 퀸은 지난 2008년 창단, 국내외 다양한 공연활동을 통해 경험과 실력을 쌓아왔다.
특히 국내 최초의 국악 유튜버로 활동하며 국악의 대중화와 세계화를 이루기 위해 노력하고 있다.
퀸은 30여 개국 50여 도시에서 80여 차례의 해외공연을 진행, 한국문화를 알리는 한편 국악 한류열풍을 선도하고 있다.
특히 ‘퀸’이 ‘겨울왕국2’의 삽입곡 ‘숨겨진 세상’을 가야금과 대금, 장구 등 국악기로 해석해 연주한 커버 영상은 현재까지 누적 조회수 315만건을 기록하고 있다.
퀸의 이번 공연 ‘NEW WAVE’는 전통예술에 재즈와 락, 라틴 등 다양하고 친숙한 음악을 접목, 다채롭고 다이나믹한 크로스오버 국악을 선보일 예정이다.
한편 이번 공연은 산청군이 단성면 남사예담촌 내 기산국악당에서 진행하는 ‘얼쑤! 산&청 힐링 상설공연’의 하나로 진행된다.
기산국악당에서는 지난 5월부터 오는 11월12일까지(7월 16일~8월 20일 하절기 미운영) 매주 토요일 다채로운 국악공연이 펼쳐진다.
상설공연에서는 국악계의 큰 스승이신 기산 박헌봉 선생의 유지를 잇는 젊은 국악인과 명인들이 전통예술과 현대를 잇는 국악무대를 선보이고 있다.
