파주시는 지난 23일 위기 상황 시 접적지역 주민들의 안전과 생명을 보호하기 위해 주민이동 실제훈련을 실시했다고 밝혔다.
을지훈련 기간 중 실시된 이번 훈련은 적진에 근접해 있는 주민의 안전한 이동과 대피의 실효성을 높이고, 주민이동계획을 세부적으로 검증하고자 마련된 모의훈련이다.

시는 주민대피 명령을 기점으로 40인승 버스를 통해 정해진 이동로로 주민이동을 진행했으며, 파주경찰서, 1군단, 파주소방서 등 유관기관의 협조하에 통제소를 거쳐 최종집결지로 성공적으로 이동했다.
특히 주민들이 직접 참여한 훈련에서 신속한 상황전파 방법과 비상연락 체계 유지 방안 논의로 위기 상황에서의 비상 대비 능력을 높였다.
시는 실제훈련에서 나타난 개선사항을 반영하고 대안을 마련해 국민의 생명을 지키기 위한 실질적인 능력을 키워나갈 계획이다.
