세종시, 미래전략수도 세종 청사진 제시

세종시가 25일 시청 여민실에서 ‘시민주권회의 전체회의’를 열고 시정4기 비전 공유와 시민참여 토론을 진행한 것을 시작으로 행정수도를 뛰어 넘어 자족기능을 갖춘 미래전략수도 세종의 청사진을 제시하고 시민 공감대 형성에 나섰다.

이번 시민주권회의 전체회의는 시정3기를 배경으로 운영된 2기 시민주권회의의 활동성과를 공유하고 새로운 시정4기 비전인 미래전략도시 세종 구현 방안을 공유하는 소통의 장으로 마련됐다.

회의는 1·2부로 나눠 진행돼 1부에서는 2기 시민주권회의 활동성과 영상공유와 시민참여 우수사례 발표에 이어 최민호 세종시장이 직접 ‘창조와 도전의 미래전략수도 세종’ 실현 방안을 소개했다.

최 시장은 ‘미래전략수도 세종’을 언급하면서 “미래전략도시는 행정수도를 뛰어넘어 자족기능을 갖춘 도시”라며 미래전략수도의 정체성을 설명했다.

최 시장은 이를 위해 세종시를 전국에 우수사례를 확산·발전시키는 테스트베드시티로 만들고, 행·재정특례·경제자유·교육자유특구 등 ‘3특 정책’을 추진해 다양성과 미래 먹거리가 넘치는 미래전략중심도시로 조성해야 한다고 역설했다.
