당진시는 삼선산수목원에서 개발한 체험 프로그램이 산림청‘산림교육 프로그램’으로 인증 받았다고 25일 밝혔다.
이번에 인증받은 산림교육 프로그램은 초등학교 4-6학년 학생을 대상으로 하는‘삼선산에서 꿈을 찾아라’로 식물의 생존 전략을 통해 생명의 소중함과 가치를 배우고 꿈을 향해 노력하는 자세를 배우는 프로그램이다.
특히 학생들이 야외에서 꽃과 나뭇잎, 열매 등을 직접 관찰, 채집하는 체험을 통해 식물에 대한 인식개선과 자연 친화적인 태도를 기를 수 있도록 구성됐다.
이병구 산림녹지과장은 “당진 삼선산수목원 교육프로그램의 우수성이 인증됐다”며“향후에도 삼선산수목원을 통해 시민분들께 수준 높은 산림서비스를 제공해 산림교육이 활성화되도록 노력하겠다”고 전했다.
한편, 작년 27만 명이 방문한 당진 삼선산수목원은 1만3천 명에게 교육 프로그램을 진행했다.
