세종시가 2023년도 정부예산 확보를 위해 다각적으로 노력한 결과 대통령 제2집무실 건립, 스마트시티 시범 사업, 세종～청주 고속도로 건설 등 핵심사업 예산 7,289억 원을 확보했다고 30일 밝혔다.
2023년 정부예산에는 ▲대통령 제2집무실 건립 1억 원 ▲사회적기업 성장지원센터 10억 원 ▲스마트빌리지 보급·확산사업 10억 원 ▲전의 읍내지구 풍수해예방사업 4억 원 등 신규 핵심과제로 선정·건의한 사업 예산이 다수 반영됐다.
또, 계속사업으로 ▲세종∼안성 고속도로 972억 원 ▲세종∼청주 고속도로 1,003억 원 ▲행복도시～조치원 연결도로 287억 원 ▲스마트시티 시범사업 205억 원 ▲재해위험지역 정비 38억 원 ▲농촌중심지 활성화사업 61억 원 등이 정부 예산안에 포함됐다.
세종시는 내년도 정부 예산안이 국회에 제출되면 본격적인 국회 대응체제로 전환해 ▲대통령 제2집무실 설계비 ▲유네스코 세계유산 국제해석설명센터 건립사업과 관련한 국비 예산 증액 활동에 나설 방침이다.
최민호 시장은 “13년 만에 정부 총지출이 감소되는 어려운 여건에서도 미래전략수도 기반조성에 필수적인 사업이 내실 있게 반영됐다”며 “앞으로 국회 등과 협력체계를 더욱 공고히 구축해 국회 심의과정에서 국비가 추가 반영될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
