고양시 공공근로사업 선발자가 9월부터 각 사업부서에서 근무를 시작했다.

지난 7월 모집을 시작한 제3단계 공공근로자들은 총 300명으로 오는 12월까지 근무할 예정이다.
저소득층·실직자 등에게 한시적 일자리를 제공하는 공공근로사업은 코로나19로 인한 경기 침체로 인해 연중 높은 경쟁률을 기록하고 있다.
이번 공공근로사업에는 300명 모집에 917여명이 지원해 3:1의 경쟁률을 보였다.
공공근로사업의 참여조건은 ▲실직 또는 정기소득이 없으며 ▲재산 3억원 미만 및 기준중위소득 65% 이하 ▲18세 이상 근로능력이 있는 고양시민이다.
이번에 선발된 공공근로자는 행정업무지원 및 도서관사서지원, 공공시설물 환경정비, 도시가로환경정비, 고양화훼단지 기반시설 정화사업 등 다양한 사업에 참여할 예정이다.
선발된 공공근로자는 65세 미만은 주25시간, 65세 이상은 주15시간을 근무한다.
임금은 2022년 최저임금(시간당 9,160원)과 부대경비, 주휴, 월차수당 등이 지급된다.
이동환 고양시장은 “코로나19 장기화로 인해 취업이 어려운 시민들에게 양질의 일자리를 제공할 것”이라고 전했다.
