브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 대통령실이 옛 청와대 영빈관과 같은 부속시설 건설을 위해 예산 878억원을 책정한 것으로 확인됐다.
청와대 안에 있는 영빈관은 대규모 회의와 외국 국빈들을 위한 공식행사를 개최하는 건물이다.
이같은 내용이 지난 15일 언론을 통해 공개되자, 대통령실은 같은날 오후 공지를 통해 "부속시설 신설 필요성을 국회에 제안한 것으로, 최종 결정권은 국회에 있다"고 설명했다.
대변인실은 "청와대를 국민에게 돌려드리고 용산 대통령실로 이전한 뒤 내외빈 행사를 국방 컨벤션센터 등에서 열었으나 국격에 맞지 않는다는 평가가 적지 않았다"라며 "이에 부속시설 신설 필요성을 국회에 제안한 것이다. 예산안의 최종 결정권은 국회에 있고, 예산안이 확정되면 관련 비용을 국민 앞에 투명하게 공개할 것"이라고 밝혔다.
앞서 한병도 더불어민주당 의원은 기획재정부로부터 제출받은 '국유재산관리기금 2022년도 예산안'을 들여다 본 결과, 기재부가 외빈 접견과 각종 행사 지원을 위한 대통령실 주요 부속시설 신축 사업에 878억6천300만원의 사업비를 편성한 것을 확인했다.
건설 기간은 2023∼2024년으로, 내년에만 497억4600만원을 책정했다. 건축 목적에 대해선 "안정적인 국정운영을 뒷받침하기 위하여 외빈 접견 및 각종 행사 지원 등을 위한 주요 부속시설을 신축하는 것"이라고 기재했다.
추진 경위에 대해 "용산시대 개막이라는 윤석열 정부의 국정과제 이행을 위한 주요 부속시설 신축"이라는 설명했다.
