브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 추경호 경제부총리 겸 기획재정부 장관은 배추, 무 등 김장채소 가격이 급등한 것과 관련, 다음달 안으로 수급 안정 대책을 마련하겠다고 밝혔다.
추경호 경제부총리는 19일 오전 정부세종청사에서 '민생물가 점검회의'를 주재한 자리에서 이같이 말했다.
그는 "유가·곡물 가격 안정과 함께 8월 소비자물가 상승세가 둔화되기도 했으나, 채소류 등 농산물과 가공식품 등은 오름세를 지속하면서 엄중한 물가 여건이 계속되고 있다"면서 "상황이 추가로 악화되지 않는다는 전제하에 늦어도 10월 이후 점차 물가 여건이 개선될 수 있을 것으로 전망하고 있지만, 여전히 분야별로 물가 불안 요인들이 잠재돼 있어 한시도 경계감을 늦출 수 없는 상황"이라고 진단했다.
이어 "가격 오름세가 지속되고 있는 채소류 등 농산물은 10월 가을철 배추·무 본격 출하 등으로 공급 여건이 본격 개선되는 시점까지 수급 관리에 전방위 노력을 다하겠다"고 말했다.

추 부총리는 "배추의 경우, 가을철 재배 정부 물량을 완전 생육 전 조기 출하하고, 수출김치용 배추를 당초보다 조기 수입(600톤(t))하는 등 적극 대응하겠다"며 "11월 초부터 김장철에 접어드는 점을 감안해 김장 주재료의 수급과 가격이 최대한 안정적으로 유지될 수 있도록 10월 중 김장채소 수급안정 대책을 마련하겠다"고 강조했다.
그는 최근 식품업계가 물류비, 식자재 가격 상승 등을 이유로 잇따라 제품가격을 인상하는데 대해선 "농림축산식품부를 중심으로 식품물가 점검반을 통해 동향을 일일 모니터링하고 업계와 가격 안정을 위한 협의도 적극 진행하겠다"며 "많은 경제주체들이 물가 상승 부담을 감내하고 있기 때문에 가공식품 업계에서도 생산성 향상 등을 통해 인상 요인을 최소화해 주길 바란다"고 당부했다.
