브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= KB국민은행은 13일 보도자료를 통해 경찰청과 전화금융사기 및 대포통장 근절을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이날 서울특별시 서대문구 경찰청 본사에서 열린 협약식에는 윤희근 경찰청장과 이재근 KB국민은행장 및 양 기관 관계자들이 참석했다.
이번 협약을 통해 KB국민은행과 경찰청은 △전화금융사기 및 대포통장 근절 방안 협력 △대고객 전화금융사기 피해 예방 홍보 △전화금융사기 피해 예방 및 범인 검거에 기여한 유공자 포상 추진 등을 협력해 나갈 예정이다.
이를 위해 양 기관은 실무자간 핫라인을 구축해 최근 발생유형, 전화금융사기 신ㆍ변종 수법 등의 정보 공유를 통해 전화금융사기 피해를 선제적으로 차단하기 위한 실질적인 피해 예방 대책을 추진하기로 했다.
또한, 최근 급증하고 있는 대면편취 수법의 사기를 예방하기 위해 KB국민은행 창구 및 자동화기기에서 범죄의심 거래 발생 시 신속한 경찰 신고ㆍ출동 체계를 구축할 예정이다. 전화금융사기 근절을 위한 유공자를 격려하기 위해 전화금융사기 피해 예방 및 범인 검거에 기여한 유공자를 선발, 포상도 추진한다.
윤희근 경찰청장은 “경찰은 국민에게 심각한 피해를 초래하는 전화금융사기 범죄와의 전쟁을 치른다는 각오로 전화금융사기 척결 종합대책을 수립해 예방ㆍ검거ㆍ제도개선에 최선을 다하고 있다”며 “전화금융사기를 완전히 뿌리 뽑을 때까지 예방ㆍ검거ㆍ제도개선은 물론 금융기관 등 관계기관과도 적극적으로 협력해 나가겠다”고 전했다.
