전북 부안군 위도면에서 위도호박축제가 28일부터 30일까지 개최되며 28일은 위도 해수욕장 야외무대에서 개회식과 함께 축하연주가 펼쳐진다.
위도는 홍길동이 꿈꾸는 율도국이며 심청이가 인당수에 제물로 바쳐진 장소로 구전되는 곳이다. 부안군 섬위도는 오랜 시간동안 많은 풍파를 겪으면서도 세상 어느 섬보다 아름다운 섬이고, 아티스트들에게 많은 영감을 주는 섬이다.
위도 호박축제는 이곳 위도섬에 새로운 꿈을 심는 일이다. 유럽 독일 루트비히스부르크에 서 매년 열리는 호박축제를 모델로 삼았다. 갯벌과 풍광이 아름답고 토양이 좋은 위도섬 에서 주민들의 손으로 재배하고 위도섬 주민들이 주축이 되어 <제1회 위도호박축제>를 개최한다. 해외토픽에서 볼 수 있었던 예쁘고 다양한 호박들을 아름다운 위도섬에서 다양 한 전시와 행사, 다이닝을 경험 할 수 있다. 호박축제와 함께 하는 음악축제 위도보체(보 체 이태리어로 목소리를 뜻함)가 함께 진행 된다. 위도섬의 원초적인 자연이 예술인들에 게 예술적 영감을 주어 새로운 음악축제의 무대가 될 것이다.
위도호박축제는 동양의 마리아칼라스로 불리는 소프라노 김영미교수(한국예술종합학교 명예교수)와 앙상블 시나위의 축하공연, 위도 초등학교 학생들이 꾸미는 무대도 프로그램 속에 들어있다. 개회식이 끝나면 아뜰리에 라흐드 비브르 최인희 대표가 이끄는 아이들과 함께 즐기는 호박페인팅&페이스페인팅을 즐기며 위도 주민과 호박요리들의 향연을 즐길 수 있다. 29일에는 치도리 앞바다에서 관광객과 섬주민이 어우러진 “인간띠 이루기 행사”와 치도리 모정에서의 “위도보체 콘서트”로 소프라노 이한나, 하모니시스트 박종성, 기타리스트 김진세가 펼치는 클래식 감상할 수 있다. 30일에는 주민들의 화합을 위한 주민 잔치콘서트와 할로윈 전야제 및 폐막식이 이루어진다. 특별히 축제기간동안 위도 주민들의 평소 음식솜씨를 맛볼 수 있는 “위도집밥다이닝” 체험도 함께 할 수 있다.
