브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자 = 양금희 국민의힘 수석대변인이 23일 '연평도 포격전' 12주년을 맞아 "지난 정부의 과오를 바로잡겠다"고 밝혔다.
양금희 수석대변인은 이날 내놓은 논평에 "(북한의 연평도 포격으로 인해) 해병 장병 고(故) 서정우 하사와 고 문광욱 일병이 전사하고, 민간인 고 김치백 씨와 고 배복철 씨가 사망했다"며 "나라를 지키다 숨진 장병과 무고하게 희생당한 분들의 영면을 기원하며, 사랑하는 가족을 잃은 유가족분들께도 깊은 위로의 마음을 전한다"고 적었다.
연평도 포격전은 2010년 11월23일 북한군이 인천 옹진군 대연평도 내 군부대와 민간인 거주지를 향해 기습적으로 170여발의 포탄을 쏴 해병대원 2명, 민간인 2명이 사망한 사건을 말한다.
양금희 수석대변인은 이어 "북한의 무력 도발은 여전히 계속되고 있다"며 "오히려 더 빈번하게 도발의 수위를 높이며 한반도 평화를 위협하고 있다"고 썼다. 그러면서 "국민의힘과 윤석열 정부는 종전선언에 집착하며 굴종적 대북관으로 일관했던 지난 정부의 과오를 바로잡겠다"고 밝혔다.
