천영희 시인이 3번째 시집 ‘동백꽃은 언제 피려나’를 출간(한누리 미디어)했다.
천영희 시인은 팔순을 바라보는 나이. 그동안 살아 온 삶의 파편들을 맑고 순수한 언어로 표출한 시를 모아 시집(詩集)을 펴냈다. 상상력을 발동해서 인간의 지나친 욕망에 대한 비판과 시간과 공간의 지배에서 벗어나기 위한 노령화의 치열한 투쟁을 시집을 통해 표출한 것.
시집은 제1부 뒷모습이 아름답다, 제2부 수양버들 가지에 봄은 출렁이고, 제3부 씽긋 웃는 속눈썹이 예쁘다, 제4부 쓸쓸함에 대하여, 제5부 행복은 꿈속의 파랑새다 등으로 엮어졌다. 90여편의 시가 수록됐다. 이 시집은 ‘내 시는 연둣빛‘ ’가을을 낚다‘에 이은 3번째 시집이다.
“어둠이 흐느끼는 밤이면 시를 씁니다. 실타래에 돌돌감긴 가슴 속 아픔들 한 올 한 올 시로 엮어내면 붉은 한숨이 하얀 꽃으로 피어 납니다. 시를 쓰므로 내가 살아 있다는 존재감을 의식합니다“.
이상호 한양대 명예교수는 이 시집의 시평(詩評)에서 ‘시인의 말’을 읽은 뒤 시를 읽고 음미하면 왜 시인이 뒤늦게 시단에 오르고 치열하게 시 짓기에 몰입하는가를 금방 눈치 챈다고 쓰고 있다.
“이슬만 먹고 살 것 같은 언덕 아래
고즈넉한 시인의 마을이 있다
어둠 내리면 평상 위에 두런두런
얘기꽃 피우던 달과 별
기웃거리다 곁에 앉은 바람
나뭇가지 새둥지에 새끼 재우고
포르르 내려와 합석하는 어미 새
시끌벅적한 삼라만상 얘기에
날 새는 즐 모르고 주거니 받거니
얼큰히 취한 홍조 띤 얼굴들
이른 아침
하루를 여는 촌장의 기침소리에
맛깔난 시어 한 보따리 걸어둔 채
종종걸음으로 돌아가는 달과 별
그리고 바람
굴뚝에서 피어오르는 누릉지 냄새에
벙글거리는 나팔꽃
시인의 마을에 아침이 밝았다.”
이어 자연과 인간이 어우러지는 시 ‘시인의 마을’ 평이다. 밤에는 달과 별 그리고 바람이 인간의 마을에 내려와 함께 머물다가 낮이 되면 그 맛깔난 시어들을 두고 돌아가 시가 태어나게 한다는 발상이 시와 인간, 자연이 서로 조응하는 아름다운 세계를 표출하고 있다고 말하고 있다.
