천안시정 가운데 올해 가장 잘한 시정으로 ‘성성호수공원 전면 개방’이 선정됐다.
천안시는 올해 시민이 직접 선정한 ‘2022년 10대 뉴스 설문조사’에서 올해 천안시를 빛낸 10대 뉴스 1위에 ‘성성호수공원 전면 개방’이 선정됐다고 밝혔다.
2022년 천안시정 10대 뉴스 설문조사는 지난 11월 21일부터 12월 4일까지 14일간 온라인 시청 누리집(홈페이지)에서 2022년 주요 정책 사업 30개 중 1인 5개를 선택하는 방식으로 이뤄졌고, 천안시민들은 설문조사 결과 ‘문화예술의 메카! 성성호수공원 전면 개방’을 2022년 천안시 관련 최대 이슈로 꼽았다.

1위에 선정된 ‘성성호수공원’은 천안시가 지난 4월 수질 개선사업과 수변생태공원 조성사업을 통해 도심 속 생태휴식공간으로 조성해 준공식과 함께 전면 개방했다.
천안시는 성성호수공원을 생태탐방로(4.1㎞), 성성물빛누리교(280m)를 비롯해 잔디마당, 숲놀이터, 생태체험숲 등 휴식과 문화 체험이 가능한 친환경 문화공간으로 조성했다.
한편 2위에는‘천안사랑카드, 택시요금 결제 10% 캐시백 혜택 도입’이 선정됐고, 3위는 ‘17년 숙원사업 해결! 천안형 환승할인제 도입’이 뽑혔다.
