브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= '친이재명계'로 분류되는 김남국 더불어민주당 의원은 12일 이재명 대표의 사법 리스크로 인해 입지가 흔들리고 있다는 소문에 대해 "사실이 아니다"고 해명했다.
김남국 의원은 이날 CBS라디오 '김현정의 뉴스쇼'에서 '이재명 대표가 친명계 의원 20명 정도를 초대했는데 오겠다는 사람이 없어 취소됐다더라'는 신경민 전 의원의 발언에 대해 "제가 친명계 의원인데 전혀 그런 거 없었다. 지난주에도 저녁 때 갑자기 번개를 하자고 해서 모였고 많이 모여서 맛있는 거 많이 먹었다"고 말했다.
그는 "비명계 의원들 중에서도 그런 (초대를 거부할) 의원은 없을 것"이라며 "당대표 또는 당 대표가 아니더라도 어떤 의원이 같이 식사 한번 하자고 초대를 했는데 '나 싫어 안 먹을거야'라고 하는 분들이 과연 있겠느냐"고 되물었다.
김 의원은 사회자가 지난달 말 진행된 '나는 이재명과 정치공동체다' 해시태그 달기 캠페인에 정청래 최고위원과 이해식 의원 2명만 참여한 것은 언급하자 "하지 말자고 해서 그런 것"이라고 반박했다.
그는 "저희가 민주당을 위해서 함께 뛰는 결사체, 공동체인데 굳이 하지 않아도 되는데 하면 누구는 하고 누구는 하지 않는다고 또 숫자를 세면서 분열 기사를 쓸 게 분명하기 때문에 참여하지 않는 게 좋다고 봤다"면서 "그게 30명, 70명, 80명이 달았어도 기사가 나갔을 것이다. 하지 말자고 해서 안한 것"이라고 말했다.
그러면서 "언론에서 그것을 키워서 자꾸 당 내 분열, 갈등이 있는 것처럼 확대하고 계속 벌리려고 하는 게 있다"고 덧붙였다.
