[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 의령군이 인구늘리기 사업을 대대적으로 펼치고 있는 가운데 귀농·귀촌 인구가 확연하게 늘어나고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
특히 청년 귀농·귀촌 인구수가 확연한 증가세를 보임에 따라 군은 청년 정책과 연계한 인구늘리기 사업을 적극적으로 펼칠 방침이라고 13일 밝혔다.
군에 따르면 3분기 기준 전입한 귀농·귀촌 가구 수는 782가구로 지난해 귀농귀촌 전입 가구 수인 758가구를 진작에 뛰어넘었다.
특히, 청년 귀농·귀촌 가구의 전입 비율이 20~40대 청년 귀농·귀촌 가구 수는 2019년 171가구, 2020년 192가구, 2021년 240가구로 꾸준히 증가하더니 올해는 3분기 기준으로 331가구로 전체 귀농·귀촌 비율의 42%를 차지했다.
군은 귀농·귀촌가구 중 특히 청년 전입이 증가한 것은 의령군만의 특색있는 지원사업이 크게 작용했다고 판단하고 있다.
우선 청년 귀농인이라면 의령군의 ‘청년 귀농인 창업 지원사업’을 주목해야 한다.
이 사업은 사업비를 최대 2,500만 원까지 지원하는데 지원금액에 있어 타의 추종을 불허한다.
사업대상자로 선정되면 농기계 구입, 하우스 설치, 저장·가공시설 등을 설치할 수 있다.
