[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 함안군이 경상남도에서 실시한 녹지조경분야 평가에서 ‘우수기관’에 선정됐다.
이번 평가는 18개 시군을 대상으로 예산분야, 실적분야, 참여분야, 수범사례 등 4개 분야 9개 세부지표로 2022년 도시숲 및 녹지공간 조성 사업 실적을 토대로 시행됐다.
함안은 칠원 운서농공단지에 미세먼지 저감 도시숲을 조성해 대기오염 감소에 기여했으며, 칠서 계내리 일원 미세먼지 차단숲을 조성해 불법쓰레기가 방치된 폐부지를 탈바꿈하는 등 주민생활 질 향상에 기여했다.
칠서산업단지(범한자동차) 내 스마트 가든볼을 조성해 군민 근로환경을 개선시키는 등 주민의 요구를 반영한 녹지공간을 조성함에 있어 우수성을 인정 받았다.
또한 승마공원 내 산지를 활용해 전국 최초로 승마와 연계한 산림공원을 조성하는 등 특색 있는 녹지공간을 조성한 점 또한 높게 평가받았다.
국비 예산을 확보해 80%에 달하는 높은 예산집행률을 달성한 점, 군 자체예산 또한 적극적으로 확보하여 가로변 녹지관리에 총력을 기한 성과도 긍정적으로 평가됐다.
조근제 군수는 “앞으로도 기후변화에 대응하고 도민의 삶의 질을 높이는 쾌적한 그린경남 조성에 기여하기 위해 노력할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
