[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 함안군은 코로나19 장기화에 따른 농업인의 경영 부담이 예상됨에 따라 임대료 감면기간을 내년 6월까지 연장한다고 26일 밝혔다.
군에 따르면 당초 감면기간은 이달까지였으나, 내년 6월까지 6개월간 연장하고 일일 농기계 임대료는 변동 없이 50% 감면한다.
이번 임대료 감면기간 연장은 코로나19 장기화로 인해 농촌 인력난과 농가 경영비 부담 완화로 농가 소득 증대에 기여하기 위해 시행하는 것이라고 밝혔다.
함안군은 농기계 임대사업장 2개소(가야·삼칠권)를 운영하고 있으며, 2020년 4월부터 올해 12월까지 9287농가에 총 1억 5617만 3000원을 감면해 줌으로써 농업인의 경영부담을 덜어줬다.
임대료는 ‘농업기계화 촉진법’이 규정한 ‘농업기계 임대료 기준’에서 최대 50%까지 감면되며, 지방자치단체별 상황에 맞게 자율적으로 운영된다.
조근제 군수는 “이번 농기계 임대료 감면 연장 실시를 통해 지속적인 농촌의 일손부족 문제로 어려움을 겪고 있는 농업인들의 경제적 부담을 조금이나마 덜어주기를 기대한다”고 말했다.
