거창군, 문해교육지원 인정 ‘교육부장관’ 표창

[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 문해교육지원 및 활성화에 기여한 공을 인정받아 유공 기관으로 선정 교육부장관 표창을 수상했다고 27일 밝혔다.

거창군은 지난 2005년부터 405개의 교실에서 6551명이 참가해 △성인문해교실을 통한 기초 문해력 증진 △초·중학 학력인정 프로그램을 통한 학력취득 △국내 최초 성인문해 중학학력 취득자 전원 일반고등학교 입학 △ 성인문해교육 홍보를 위한 다양한 활동 △강사자격 취득(177명) 및 역량강화 교육 등을 실시해 문해율 감소와 기초 학력 증진에 크게 기여하여 문해교육 교육부장관 표창 중 지자체 분야에서는 전국 최초로 우수 기관으로 선정됐다.

특히, 중학 학력인정 프로그램은 경상남도 최초로 운영해 2021년 첫 졸업생 13명을 배출하고 나아가 지역 일반 고등학교에 전원 입학해 만학도 고등학생으로서 학업을 이어감에 따라 지역사회에 큰 귀감이 되고 있다.

거창군은 마을회관과 경로당으로 찾아가는 문해교실과 초·중 학력을 취득할 수 있는 학력인정 문해교실 학습자를 모집 중에 있다.
