존경하는 22만 구민 여러분,
그리고 자랑스러운 공직자 여러분.
새로운 동구를 만들기 위해 숨 가쁘게 달려온 임인년(壬寅年) 한 해가 어느덧 저물어가고 있습니다.
금년 한 해 동안 구정에 대한 깊은 관심과 애정 어린 성원을 보내주신 구민 여러분께 진심으로 감사드립니다.
아울러, 구정 발전을 위해 묵묵히 소임을 다해 주신 공직자 여러분께도 존경과 감사의 말씀을 전합니다.
올 한 해를 돌이켜보면 대내외적으로 다사다난했던 2022년으로 기억됩니다.
그러나, 어려운 여건 속에서도 1천여 공직자와 함께 불철주야 일하며 의미 있는 한 해를 보냈습니다.
2022년은 동구 르네상스 시대 초석을 다진 해였습니다.
올해의 주요 성과를 말씀드리도록 하겠습니다.
민생을 핵심 가치로 두고 구민과 소통하는 행정을 추진했습니다.
취임 이후 16개 행정복지센터에 방문해 구민들의 허심탄회한 이야기를 들으며 100여 개의 건의사항을 처리했습니다.
주민들이 우려하는 장마철 대동천 범람 문제를 해결하기 위해 수해 방지 대책을 세우고 안전시설물 설치를 조치하여 주민들의 시름을 덜었습니다.
민선8기 출범 100일 기념 구민보고회를 개최해 구민들과 가까운 거리에서 가감없이 소통하고 진솔한 대화를 나누기도 했습니다.
기업과 사람이 모이는 경제 활력 도시로 발돋움하였습니다.
‘대청호를 활용한 지역경제 활성화 민·관협의체’를 구성해 다양한 분야의 외부 전문가들이 모여 대청호 활용전략 수립과 규제 완화 논리 개발을 위해 애쓰고 있습니다.
또한, 대전시 출입기자단을 대상으로 대청호 팸투어를 진행해 대청호를 홍보하고 범시민적 공감대를 형성했습니다.
기업 유치를 위해 ㈜일본위생센터와 동구 투자업무협약을 체결했습니다.
㈜일본위생센터 한국 본사를 동구에 우선 설립하고 생산공장 또한 최대한 동구에 유치하여 양질의 일자리 창출에 최선을 다하겠습니다.
그리고, 연간 1만여 명이 찾는 한국원자력안전재단 부속 ‘대전교육원’유치 성공에 따른 유동인구 증가로 지역경제와 상권이 활성화될 것입니다.
관광축제도시로 한걸음 더 나아갔습니다.
동구 대표 축제인 대전 0시 부르스축제는 원도심 스토리를 활용한 레트로 콘셉트로 개최되었으며 중앙시장 연계 지역 상생 이벤트 진행 및 다양한 체험 프로그램을 통해 많은 구민과 방문객들의 참여를 이끌어 성황리에 마무리되었습니다.
또한, 대동천 소문난 청춘 페스티벌은 친환경 부스 운영 및 일회용품 최소화를 통해 탄소중립화를 실천하고 지속가능한 자연 친화적 축제의 모범을 제시하였습니다.
대청호 생태관광의 구심점 역할을 할 효평마루가 새로운 모습으로 탈바꿈되었습니다.
효평마루는 생태놀이터와 휴게공간이 있어 아이들에겐 즐거운 놀이공간이 어른들에겐 일상의 작은 쉼터가 될 것입니다.
교육문화도시로서의 잠재력이 한층 더 성장하였습니다.
청년들의 자발적 모임 활동을 지원하여 청년 활동기반 강화와 사회참여 활성화를 도모하기 위한 청년 커뮤니티 활동 지원사업을 추진하였습니다.
또한, 자유로운 청년활동의 장을 제공하기 위해 청년공간 동구동락을 운영하였으며,올해 6천여 명이 방문하는 성과를 거두었습니다.
청년마을 조성 공모사업 및 청년공간 운영지원 공모사업에 선정돼 총 시비 2억 8천 5백만 원을 확보했습니다.
구민들이 염원하는 천동중학교 설립을 위해 ‘천동중학교 신설 지원 민·관협의체’를 구성하여 공론화 장을 마련하고 교육청의 구체적인 계획을 확인하였습니다.
쾌적한 주거환경을 갖춘 누구나 살고 싶은 도시로 발전하고 있습니다.
주거환경 개선사업 속도를 올리고 소규모 주택정비 사업도 적극 추진중입니다.
청년들과 신혼부부의 보금자리가 될 낭월 다가온 공공주택 조성사업도 순항중입니다.
신인동 공영주차장에 무허가 건축물을 철거하고 임시주차장 23면을 조성해 구민들의 불편을 덜었습니다.
자양동 공영주차장 공사도 내년 1월에 준공되어 골목길 주차난 해소에 이바지할 것입니다.
‘2023년 판암어린이공원 기후친화형 공원 조성 공모사업’에 선정되어 아이들이 마음놓고 뛰어놀 수 있는 친환경적 공간을 마련하게 되었습니다.
대동, 홍도동에 쌈지정원 정비를 하여 녹색쉼터를 확충해 구민들의 삶에 여유를 더했습니다.
구민들의 일상이 지켜지는 건강도시로 진입하고 있습니다.
공공보건의료의 중점적 역할을 할 대전의료원 착공을 앞당기기 위해 8월에 기획설계 용역에 착수하였습니다.
혹시 모를 위급상황에 대비하기 위해 생물테러 대응 대규모 모의 훈련을 개최하고,2022년 전국 재난응급의료 종합훈련대회에 동구가 대전시 대표로 참가했습니다.
지방자치단체 건강증진사업 디지털 헬스케어 방문 건강관리 우수기관으로 선정되어 보건복지부 장관상을 받는 쾌거도 있었습니다.
따뜻한 나눔문화로 이웃과 함께 상생하는 복지도시를 만들어 나갔습니다.
천사의손길 나눔냉장고가 ‘2022년 주민생활혁신사례 우수사례’로 선정되어 타 지자체에 귀감이 되었습니다.
또한, 로봇 활용 사회적 약자 편익 지원 공모사업에 선정되어 8천 6백만 원을 지원받아 어려운 이웃들에게 한층 더 발전된 서비스를 제공하게 되었습니다.
구민들이 십시일반 보내주신 사랑으로 후원금 100억 원을 달성하였으며 나눔문화 확산 및 사회공헌에 기여한 바를 인정받아 ‘2022년 사랑의열매 대상 행복장’을 수상했습니다.
