계묘년 새해가 밝았습니다.
총명하고 지혜로운 토끼의 힘을 받아 올 한해 뜻 하시는 바 모두 이루시길 기원합니다.
‘창조와 도전의 미래전략수도 세종’을 새 비전으로 삼아 시정4기 2년차를 맞았습니다. 올해도 시민분들의 염원과 계묘년의 슬기로움을 모아 희망찬 발걸음을 내딛고자 합니다.
누구나 살고 싶은 행정수도 세종을 완성하겠습니다. 국회 세종의사당과 대통령 제2집무실 건립을 지원해 지방시대 분권모델을 선도해 가겠습니다.
과학기술 육성 자족경제도시를 만들겠습니다. 스마트도시를 기반으로 신성장 산업을 육성하며 지역경제의 성장을 돕겠습니다.
풍요와 품격의 문화예술도시를 가꾸어 가겠습니다. 매력 넘치는 관광도시, 건강한 체육도시, 자연과 호흡하는 정원도시를 만들겠습니다.
편리한 미래교통도시로 거듭나겠습니다. 시민 중심의 대중교통 서비스로 쾌적한 교통 환경과 도시성장에 걸맞는 광역교통망을 구축하겠습니다.
편안한 안전도시를 만들겠습니다. 지속가능한 녹색도시 조성과 주택 공급을 기반으로 시민 주거안정에 집중하겠습니다.
건강하고 행복한 의료복지도시를 실현하겠습니다. 촘촘한 복지안전망과 보건인프라 확대로 남녀노소 행복한 도시를 만들겠습니다.
창의인재를 키우는 한글사랑 교육특구도시를 구축하겠습니다. 청년의 성장을 지원하고 배움이 즐거운 미래교육도시, 세종대왕 정신을 잇는 한글문화수도를 조성하겠습니다.
지역상생의 균형발전 선도도시를 이루겠습니다. 충청권의 협력과 국가균형발전을 선도하고 읍면지역과의 상생협력모델을 만들겠습니다.
대한민국 모두가 잘사는 미래, 첨단 과학기술과 문화예술이 만나는 미래, 창조와 도전으로 대한민국의 밝은 내일을 열고 시민 여러분들과 담대한 도전을 함께 하겠습니다.

We will build a special city for learning Korean language love to nurture creative talents. We will create a future education city that supports the growth of young people and makes learning fun, and a Hangeul cultural capital that carries on the spirit of King Sejong the Great.
We will achieve a leading city for balanced development of local coexistence. We will lead the cooperation and balanced national development of the Chungcheong region and create a win-win cooperation model with the towns and villages.
