존경하고 사랑하는 220만 도민여러분! 2023년 계묘년 희망찬 새해가 밝았습니다.
여러분의 가정에 건강과 행복이 충만하길 바라며, 소원하시는 모든 일들이 다 이루어지길 기원합니다.
지난해 새로운 희망과 도민의 준엄한 명령을 받들어 출범한 제12대 의회는 진정한 민의의 전당으로 거듭나기 위해 최선을 다하였습니다. 마흔여덟 명의 도의원들은 약속드린 ‘소통의정, 선진의정, 책임의정’구현에 적극 노력하였고, ‘도민중심 행동하는 의회’실현을 위해 열심히 달렸습니다.
의회의 인사권이 독립된 원년, 권한이 커진 만큼 역량 강화에 더욱 중점을 두었고, 정책지원관을 선발·배치하여 의정활동의 전문성을 높였습니다. 조례의 실효성을 높이기 위해 전국 최초로 구축한 입법평가 시스템이 지방의회 우수사례 경진대회 대상에 선정되기도 하였습니다.

우리는 지금 불안한 국제정세와 글로벌 경기 둔화에 따른 국내외 금융 불안 심화, 고물가로 인한 민생경제 부담이 가속화 되는 불확실성의 시대를 살아가고 있습니다. 이런 때일수록 지혜를 모아 민생을 살피고, 흔들림 없이 나아갈 수 있도록 단단히 기반을 다지는 것이 중요합니다.
도의회는 2023년 충청남도와 함께 탄소중립 경제 실현, 미래 산업 구조로의 전환, 글로벌 관광도시 조성, 지역 간 불균형 해소 및 민생경제 활성화 등 충청남도의 새로운 성장모델이 도민의 공감대를 얻고 가시화 될 수 있도록 법적·제도적 기반 마련에 힘쓰겠습니다.

The 12th National Assembly, which was launched last year in response to new hope and the stern order of the provincial residents, did its best to become a true hall of public will.
