2023년 희망찬 계묘년(癸卯年) 새해가 밝았습니다.
풍요와 지혜, 그리고 도약을 상징하는 검은 토끼의 해를 맞이하여 여러분 모두의 가정에 행복이 가득하고 소망하시는 일 모두 이루는 한 해가 되시기를 기원합니다.
지난 3년간 지속된 코로나19 팬데믹이라는 어둡고 긴 터널을 지나 이제 그 끝을 향해 가고 있습니다.
곧 실내 마스크 의무화도 해제되고, 미래의 주역인 아이들과 청년들의 활짝 웃는 얼굴을 마주할 수 있을 것입니다.
그동안 방역과 백신 및 접종에 협조해 주신 시민 여러분과 공직자 여러분의 노력에 진심으로 감사드립니다.
대전 시민의 지지와 성원에 힘입어 막중한 책무를 부여받은 지 벌써 6개월이 지났습니다.
6개월이란 짧은 기간임에도 불구하고, 공직자 여러분의 열정과 시민 여러분들의 성원 속에서 무능과 무기력을 떨치고 확실한 변화와 성과를 이루어 냈습니다.
우선, 대통령실, 정부, 국회와의 긴밀한 협력을 바탕으로 대전시정을 국정 중심에 우뚝 세웠습니다.
2023년 국고 4조 원 시대 개막을 필두로 산업과 경제 부흥의 기반을 확보했습니다.
방위사업청 대전 이전의 조기 확정과 방산혁신클러스터 유치를 통한 K-방산 전진기지 기반 구축, 우주산업 클러스터 구축사업에 대전을 포함시킨 것은 긴밀한 협력의 성과였습니다.
아울러, 팬데믹 상황에도 2022년 대전 세계지방정부연합 총회를 역대 최대 규모로 개최하여 대전의 국제적 위상을 높였고, 2026년 세계태양광 총회 유치,2027년 하계세계대학경기대회는 충청의 힘을 모아 유치함으로써, 글로벌 도시 대전의 이정표를 확고히 세웠습니다.

시민분들의 숙원인 도시철도 2호선 트램 조기 건설을 위해 총사업비 조정 및 기본계획 변경 승인, 실시설계 등을 빠른 시일 내에 마무리 짓겠습니다.
또한, 현재 진행 중인 도시철도망 구축계획 수립 용역을 통해 도시철도 3.4.5호선 건설 전략도 마련하겠습니다.

육아 부담을 획기적으로 줄이기 위한 무상 보육과 무상 교육 실현을 위해 최선을 다하겠습니다.
