[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 올해 도내에서는 처음으로 주민자치회 100% 전환을 달성한 지자체가 됐다.
이는 도내 평균 전환율인 63%(2023년 1월 1일 기준)를 크게 상회하는 수준이며, 창원시, 사천시, 거제시, 남해군에 이어 도내에서 네 번째로 ‘주민자치회 100% 전환’ 타이틀을 차지했다.
거창군 주민자치회는 2013년 경상남도 최초로 북상면이 주민자치회 시범 실시 지역으로 선정·전환된 것을 시작으로 2020년 위천면과 마리면, 2021년 주상면, 웅양면, 고제면, 남상면, 남하면, 신원면, 가조면, 가북면까지 12개 읍·면 중 거창읍을 제외한 총 11개 면이 전환되어 주민자치 모범 지자체로서 역할을 수행해 왔다.
