[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 지난 26일 창원산업진흥원 주관으로 지역 방산중소기업 기술경쟁력 강화를 위한 디지털 지원방안을 중심으로 창원시, 한국생산기술연구원, 방산혁신클러스터사업단, 체계기업, 기업컨설팅 전문업체, 중소기업 등 20여명이 참석한 가운데 간담회를 개최했다고 27일 밝혔다.
이번 간담회는 디지털을 활용한 구체적인 지원방안을 토대로 제조중심의 방산중소기업 전문역량 강화를 주제로 이루어졌다. 현재 방산 중소기업의 대부분은 상위기업의 공급망 사슬에 편입되어 독자적인 기술을 보유하기보다는 부품납품에 주력하고 있는 것이 현실이다. 부품 단위의 생산을 넘어 모듈형 혁신제품 생산을 위한 구조해석이나 설계 역량 등의 한계도 안고 있다.
이를 극복하기 위해서, 생기연의 최성준 수석연구원은 디지털 기업지원 시스템 구축을 통한 방산중소기업의 독자적인 기술역량 확보를 강조하였다. 클라우드를 기반으로 한 기업지원시스템은 제조데이터의 활용, 설계프로그램의 공유, 전문가의 구조해석 지원, 맞춤형 인력 교육 등으로 편리한 접근성을 토대로 기술역량 강화와 국방신산업 확대를 위한 기업지원 방안이 될 수 있다고 제시했다.
창원산업진흥원 임재봉 기업육성본부장은 “코로나 시대를 거치면서 온라인과 디지털을 통한 기업지원은 또 다른 대안으로 지역의 기업환경을 고려한 실효성 있는 사업으로 자리잡을 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”며 “기업지원의 다양하고 효과적인 방안을 지속적으로 발굴하겠다”고 밝혔다.
시는 이번 간담회를 시작으로 생기연과 협력하여 지역에 맞는 디지털 지원방안을 발굴하고 의견수렴을 통해 관련 부처에도 건의할 계획이다.
