법인단체 노벨재단이 안수원 시인-소설가(박사)를 올해 한국의 노벨문학상 후보로 선정, 안수원 소설가가 누구인가라는 의문이 뒤따랐다. 노벨재단은 1997년 창립된 재단. 이 재단은 지난 1월13일, 서울대학교 교수회관에서 신년교례회를 갖고 안수원 박사를 노벨상 후보로 추천키로 결정했다.
안수원 교수는 광주대학에서 박사학위를, 연세대학에서 석사학위를 받았다. 장편소설 '천관녀', '대통령의 눈물', '억불산 며느리 바위의 전설', '백제의 태동' 등이 발표됐다.

The Nobel Foundation, a corporate body, selected Ahn Su-won, a poet-novelist (doctor), as a candidate for the Nobel Prize in Literature this year. The Nobel Foundation was founded in 1997. On January 13, the foundation held a New Year's meeting at the Faculty Hall of Seoul National University and decided to nominate Dr. Suwon Ahn as a candidate for the Nobel Prize.
