[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 경남도 박완수 지사가 2일 함안군을 방문해 200여 명의 군민들과 대화의 시간을 가졌다.
함안군청에서 열린 ‘도민과의 대화’ 자리에서 박 도지사는 함안은 중부내륙고속도로 확장과 창원산업선 신설을 통한 도로망 개선과 함께 창원의 기계·원전, 사천의 항공우주와 연계한 제조업 육성 등 산업입지의 경쟁력을 강화하는 비전을 제시했다.
박 도지사는 “함안은 아라가야의 숨결이 깃든 역사와 문화의 중심이며, 원예산업 등 경남 농업을 이끌어가는 도시”라며 “기업하기 좋은 입지환경을 갖추고 있어 함안은 경남의 새로운 산업의 중심지로서 발전잠재력이 대단히 크다”고 말했다.
조근제 함안군수는 가야문화유산의 체계적 보존을 위한 ‘아라가야 역사유적지구 조성사업’과 시설원예 거점지역으로서의 입지 강화를 위한 ‘2026년 세계 원예(수박) 박람회 개최’에 대한 주요 현안을 설명하고, 말이산 고분군 왕의 정원 조성과 칠북 가연천 재해예방사업 반영을 위한 도의 적극적인 지원을 건의했다.
박 도지사는 도민과의 대화에 앞서 함안 군북면에 있는 발전설비업체인 비에이치아이 본사를 방문해 기업 현황을 청취하고 시설을 직접 둘러봤다.
경남도는 원전산업 생태계 복원과 수소산업 등 친환경 에너지 사업에 대한 현장 의견을 수렴하는 한편, 에너지공급 대책과 전력수급계획에 따른 실질적인 지원에 대해서도 의견을 나누었다.
박 도지사는 “산업이 지속 발전하기 위해 인력공급이 가장 중요하며, 대학재정지원사업 50% 이상을 지방으로 이양한다는 정부계획에 맞춰 인재육성, 산업인력 공급에 적극 대응해 나갈 것”이라며 “특히, 산업수요에 따른 체계적인 인력 지원을 위해 산업인력지원청 신설을 정부에 건의하겠다”고 밝혔다.
또 “중견기업을 포함한 고용, 자금 등 기업지원정책을 검토해서 훌륭한 기업들이 우리 지역에서 성장할 수 있도록 하겠다”고 덧붙였다.
한편, 민선8기 경남도는 함안 삼칠권을 내륙물류산단으로 만들기 위한 ‘동북아 물류플랫폼 유치·조성’, 트라이포트와 연계한 철도망 구축을 위한 ‘창원산업선(칠서산단역) 조기 건설 추진’에 노력하고, 가야 역사문화도시 조성을 위해 ‘아라가야 역사유적지구 조성사업’을 비롯해서 지역 현안의 원활한 추진에 함안과 긴밀히 협력하기로 했다.
