[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 의령곤충생태학습관이 개편작업을 끝내고 7일 재개관했다. 기존의 눈으로만 보던 전시관 시설을 손으로 만지고, 온몸으로 체험하는 공간으로 완전히 탈바꿈했다.
'인간의 가장 작은 친구'인 곤충들을 보기 위해 2016년 곤충학습관 개관 이래 약 40만 명의 관람객이 다녀갈 만큼 뜨거운 반응 속에 의령군은 지난해 과학기술정보통신부가 주관하는 지역공립과학관 역량강화(전시개선지원) 공모사업에 선정돼 5억 원의 사업비를 확보하는 쾌거를 이뤘고, 10개월의 전면적인 리모델링을 거쳐 재개관했다.
재개관을 앞두고 보름 동안 운영한 시범운영에서 일일 관람객 1,376명이 입장했고, 이 기간 100명의 관람객을 대상으로 만족도를 조사한 결과 매우만족(62%), 만족(37%)이 압도적으로 많아 재개관에 큰 호응을 얻었다.
합천 성모유치원에서 30명의 원생을 데리고 방문했다는 석혜진(40) 선생님은 "확실히 예전과 분위기가 다른 것 같다. 연령대·학년별·계절별로 프로그램이 다양한 것 같다"고 만족감을 보였다.
