[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군 남하면(면장 임양희)은 남하면의 향토사를 집대성하기 위한 면지 편찬사업을 올해부터 시작해 이달 말까지 면지 편찬위원을 모집한다고 14일 밝혔다.
이번 편찬사업에는 2023년부터 2025년까지 3년 동안 총사업비 1억 5000만 원으로 남하면 역사·문화재·종교·자연·지리·인물·성씨 등을 총망라해 수록할 계획이다.
남하면은 지난 7일 면지 편찬위원 선정을 위한 선정위원회 회의를 개최해 위원정수와 선정방법, 선정기준 등에 대해 논의했으며, 회의결과 공개모집과 추천의 방법으로 30명 내외의 위원을 모집해 선정위원회 심사를 거쳐 선정하기로 결정했다.
편찬위원 자격요건은 남하면 향토사에 정통하고, 관심과 열정을 가지고 면지 편찬에 적극적으로 참여 가능한 자로 남하면에 주소가 되어 있지 않은 사람도 신청할 수 있다.
임양희 남하면장은 “면지편찬 사업은 산재해 있는 남하면의 문화유산과 각 마을의 연혁·유래 등을 발굴하여 기록하는 아주 의미 있고 중요한 일이다”며 “편찬과정을 통해 지역의 정체성을 확인하고 면민들의 애향심이 고취돼 우리 남하면 지역 공동체가 더욱더 발전되는 원동력으로 삼고싶다”고 편찬사업에 대한 포부를 밝혔다.
