[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 함안군은 함안 법수면 강주마을 일원에서 개최하는 제11회 강주해바라기 축제의 성공적인 운영을 위해 업무추진 협의회를 개최했다.
법수면 강주리에 위치한 해바라기문화센터에서 열린 이날 협의회에는 안병국 농업기술센터소장, 조창래 법수면장, 조만제 군의원 등이 참석해 성공적인 축제 추진과 발전을 위해 강주해바라기축제위원회와 다양한 의견들을 나눴다.
이날에는 해바라기축제 기간 및 해바라기 식재 단지 결정 등 행사 기반에 대한 전반적인 논의가 활발하게 진행됐다.
한편 제10회 강주해바라기 축제는 식재면적 1개 단지, 총 2만㎡ 규모 내 이십만 송이의 해바라기 꽃 잔치가 지난해 8월 26일부터 10일간 개최하며 성공적으로 막을 내렸다.
강주해바라기 축제는 쇠락해가는 작은 농촌마을을 살리기 위해 마을 주민들이 힘을 모아 2013년부터 개최했으며 그 결과 ‘제1회 행복마을만들기 콘테스트’ 경관·환경 분야에서 국무총리상을 수상하는 등 성공한 주민자치형 마을 축제의 모범사례가 됐다.
