[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 의령군이 경남에서 실업률이 가장 낮은 지역으로 나타났다.
통계청이 지난 21일 발표한 '2022년 하반기 지역별 고용조사 결과'에 따르면 의령군 실업률은 0.6%로 남해군과 함께 경남에서 가장 낮았다.
의령군은 경남 군지역 평균 실업률(1.7%)보다 1.1% 낮았고, 전국 군지역 평균 실업률(1.4%)보다는 0.8% 낮았다.
특히 고용률도 산청군(72.0%), 하동군(71.7%), 합천군(69.7%) 다음으로 높은 69.3%를 기록하는 등 주요 고용지표가 호조를 나타내고 있다.
의령군은 자치단체장 임기 중 추진할 일자리 목표를 공시하고 추진현황을 점검하는 ‘지역일자리 목표 공시제’를 시행하고 있다.
최근 어려운 경제 상황에도 맞춤형 일자리 정책 시행하고, 취업 취약계층 일자리 지원이 고용지표 상승에 효과를 본 것으로 분석하고 있다.
