박형덕 동두천시장, 오후석 행정2부지사와 지역현안 지원방안 논의

[김완영 기자 = 동두천] 지난 3일 박형덕 동두천시장은 오후석 경기도 행정2부지사에게 지역현안에 대한 경기도 차원의 예산 지원 등을 건의하고 논의하는 시간을 가졌다고 밝혔다.

박 시장은 동두천시를 찾은 오 부지사에게 경기북부 반려동물 테마파크 유치 및 조성 등 현안사항에 대한 지원을 요청하는 한편, 경기도 차원의 지원이 필요한 동두천시 노인회관 건립 등 3개 사업 대한 예산지원을 건의했다.

주요 건의사항으로는 -경기북부 반려동물 테마파크 유치 및 조성, -노인회관 건립 사업, -장애인회관 건립 사업, -경기도형 복합개발사업(공공시설+임대주택) 선정 지원, -왕방계곡 숲길(트레일) 조성 사업 지원 등이 다뤄졌다.

아울러 오 부지사는 동두천 캠프님블, 캠프 모빌 반환 공여지 개발사업 현장을 직접 방문하고, 반환공여구역 개발을 통한 낙후된 주변 지역 경제 진흥 및 주민 복리증진 기회 창출 방안을 모색했다.

오 부지사는 “동두천시 건의사항을 적극적으로 검토하여 중앙부처와 협의가 필요한 사항에는 함께 노력하겠다”라고 말했다.
