[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 함안군은 23일 군청 별관 3층 중회의실에서 ‘함안군 인구감소지역대응 기본계획 수립’을 위한 인구감소지역대응위원회를 개최했다.
이날 위원회는 이병철 함안부군수 주재로 함안군의회 의원과, 함안교육지원청, 지역대학, 연구원등에서 추천한 위원들과 함안군 사업부서장들이 참석했다.
인구감소에 대응하기 위해 지자체 여건에 부합하는 지역 맞춤형 인구증가시책의 발굴과 추진이라는 골자로 시행된 인구감소지역 지원특별법에 따라 함안군은 인구감소지역대응 5개년 기본계획을 수립 중이며, 인구감소지역대응 기본계획 및 시행계획의 수립 등을 심의하고자 올해 처음 인구감소지역대응위원회를 구성했다.
이번 위원회 개최로 함안군 인구감소지역대응 기본계획에 대한 중간점검과 의견을 나눴으며, 앞으로 기본계획의 수정과 보완을 거쳐 5개년(2022~2026) 함안군 인구감소지역대응 기본계획을 확정하고 기본계획에 기반한 지방소멸대응기금 투자계획 수립도 연계 추진할 계획이다.
군 관계자는 “우리 지역여건의 철저한 분석을 바탕으로 비전과 목표, 전략을 올바르게 설정하여 효과성 있는 집행·관리 방법으로 계획수립을 완료하겠다”며, “정주여건 개선, 일자리 창출, 관광 활성화 등 다양한 분야에 대하여 실질적인 인구증가 방안을 마련하여 지방소멸위기 대응에 적극 대응하겠다”고 말했다.
