[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] (재)함안군장학재단의 2023년 상반기 장학증서 수여식이 29일 오후 학생, 선생님 및 관계자 등 150여명이 참석한 가운데 이후 4년 만에 개최됐다.

장학재단은 이번 상반기에 중학생 50명에게 1599만 원, 고등학생 135명에게 7740만 원의 장학금을, 대학생 28명에게는 3880만 원의 장학금과 기숙사비를 수여해 올해 상반기 총 213명의 장학생이 혜택을 받게 됐다.

한편, 2008년 6월 지역교육발전과 미래 인재양성을 위해 설립된 (재)함안군장학재단은 학과성적 우수 학생과 지역출신 대학생을 대상으로 장학금과 주거비를 지원하고 있으며, 3000만 원 이상 고액기부자는 기부자 명의로 장학증서를 수여하는 특지장학제도도 운영하고 있다.

이번 상반기까지 4531명의 장학생을 선발하고, 총 40억6392만 원의 장학금을 지급해 지역인재육성에 큰 힘이 되고 있다.
