[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 30일 남상면 어울림마을 다목적센터에서 여성친화도시 조성을 위한 군민참여단 위촉식을 개최했다.
이날 위촉식에서는 지난 13일부터 22일까지 공개모집을 통해 선발된 36명의 여성친화도시 군민참여단원들에게 위촉장을 수여하고 여성친화도시 관련 역량강화 교육을 진행했다.
역량강화 교육에서는 ‘여성친화도시와 군민참여단 역할’을 주제로 여성친화도시의 의미, 군민참여단의 역할 및 활동사례에 대한 강의와 함께 분과별 활동계획 수립을 위한 토의가 이어졌다.
군민참여단원들은 2024년까지 2년의 임기 동안 여성친화적 문화 확산을 위해 일상생활에서 느끼는 불편과 애로사항을 다양한 시각에서 살피고 정책제안과 모니터링 등 지역 환경을 개선하는 활동들을 수행하게 된다.
김진근 경제복지국장은 “사회적 약자를 포함한 군민들의 실질적인 의견이 반영될 수 있도록 여성친화도시 조성에 군민참여단의 적극적인 활동을 부탁드린다”고 전했다.
‘여성친화도시’란 지역정책과 발전과정에 여성과 남성이 평등하게 참여하고 여성의 역량강화, 돌봄 및 안전이 구현되도록 정책을 운영하는 도시를 말한다.
여성친화도시의 ‘여성’은 사회적 약자를 대변하는 상징적 의미이며 아동, 청소년, 장애인, 노인 등을 포함하고 있다.
