[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 유네스코 인류무형문화유산과 '세계 최대 줄(Largest Rope)'로 기네스북에 등재된 ‘의령큰줄땡기기’ 큰 줄이 6년 만에 웅장한 모습을 드러냈다.

12일 큰줄땡기기 보존회원과 공무원 등 200여 명은 의령문화원 앞에 모여 ‘큰줄말기’에 구슬땀을 흘렸다.

‘의령큰줄땡기기’는 제48회 의령 홍의장군축제의 특별 행사로 21일 오후 3시 의령서동행정타운대로에서 군민과 향우, 관광객 등 1만여 명이 참여한 가운데 열릴 예정이다.

큰줄은 짚을 모아 추린 뒤 세 가닥을 왼쪽으로 꼬면서 들이기→큰줄엮기→큰줄말기→반으로 접고 고머리 만들기→겻줄달기→꼬리줄 만들기 등을 거쳐 거대한 큰줄을 완성한다.

21일에는 물아래 동군(청룡군)과 물위의 서군(백호군)으로 나눠 큰 줄을 당겨 자웅을 겨룬다.
