거창군 자매도시 대구 수성구 '어린이대표단’ 문화탐방

[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군 자매도시인 대구광역시 수성구의 초등학생과 관계 공무원 등 30명이 지난 22일 거창군 초청을 받아 농촌 생활 체험 등 다양한 프로그램으로 교류하는 시간을 가졌다.

거창군과 수성구는 접근성이 좋고 상호 간 농촌문화와 도심문화를 체험할 수 있는 장점이 있어 2007년 5월 23일 자매결연을 체결해 2015년부터 어린이대표단의 자매도시 문화탐방을 꾸준히 추진하고 있다.

올해 대구광역시 수성구 어린이대표단은 14개 초등학교의 3학년에서 6학년 24명으로 구성돼 오전 딸기 수확 체험을 시작으로 위천면 수승대체험휴양마을로 이동해 보물찾기, 점심식사, 아이스크림 만들기를 했다.

이어 남하면에 위치한 피쉬월드에서 물고기 먹이주기, 낚시 체험, 희귀물고기 관람 등의 활동을 하며 일정을 마무리했다.

체험에 참여한 한 학생은 “싱싱한 딸기를 직접 따고 먹어보면서 농촌 생활을 체험했는데, 도시에서는 알지 못했던 색다른 경험이었고 그 중 곤충모형 보물찾기가 가장 즐거웠다”고 말했다.

이날 동행한 수성구청 교류소통팀 관계자는 “자매도시인 거창의 아름다운 자연환경과 수준 높은 체험 프로그램을 어린이들에게 소개하는 좋은 기회가 됐다”라며 “좋은 추억을 만들어 준 거창군에 감사하다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 거창군 어린이대표단은 10월 중 대구를 방문해 수성구의 다양한 문화를 체험하고 탐방하는 교류 행사를 가질 계획이다.
