[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 함안군이 27일 칠서면 태곡들녁의 이청근 농가에서 1.4ha에 조생종 품종인 운광벼로 첫 모내기를 실시했다.

이른 모내기를 통해 조기에 수확해 벼 생산시기를 다변화함으로써 농가소득을 높일 수 있는 장점이 있으며, 해담벼, 운광벼 등 조생종 벼 품종은 점차 면적이 늘어나는 추세이다.

올해는 약 380ha에 함안군 벼 재배면적의 8%정도가 재배될 것으로 예상되며, 추석 전 햅쌀로 판매할 계획이다.
