이날 오 군수는 '정책도 이름을 남기는 시대'라며 앞으로 의령군에서 추진하는 정책 대부분에는 담당 공무원의 이름을 공개하자고 당부했다.
특히 이날 오 군수는 '의병'을 빗대 정책실명제를 설명해 눈길을 끌었다.

특히 대규모 예산이 들어가는 사업과 군 역점사업에 대한 '실명 공개'를 강조했다.
현재 의령군은 군립화장장 조성, 4.26추모공원 조성 등 군 역점 사업 다수를 정책 추진단계에서부터 투명성을 확보하기 위해 '정책실명제'를 실시하고 있다.
또 정책실명제 대상 사업 외에도 군민이 공개를 원하는 사업을 신청받아 심의 후 공개하는 '국민신청실명제'를 연중 수시 운영 중이다.
